Having a plan is the key to success, whether that’s knowing what you’re going to be doing in five years’ time, a year’s time, or maybe just for the next day. Whatever you want to achieve in life, it all starts with an idea – and putting a plan in place to get there.
At Pioneer, you’re part of creating your own plan known as your ‘MY Plan’. This is yours and yours alone; no one else will have the same journey as you.
So what does it include? You might have an idea of what you want to get out of Pioneer, whether that’s gaining a qualification, learning a new skill, or progressing in employment – everything you want to achieve and do will form your ‘MY Plan’, including what kinds of activities you might try your hand at.
At Pioneer’s school you will have your own Individual Education Plan (IEP) which will be tailored to suit you. The IEP will be incorporated within your ‘MY’ Plan. Every term you and your key worker, other members of staff, instructors, your social worker and guardians / parents will review how things are going to make sure your learning and education plan is on track. All these discussions will be recorded in your ‘MY’ Plan.
Without your involvement, it wouldn’t be possible to put this together though. It’s basically your road map to your journey at Pioneer, evaluating what your needs and requirements are both within the lodges and at the school.
