The Student Educational Journey
For many young people whose lives are at a crossroads, the idea of studying subjects for an education they might not even use, feels redundant. At Pioneer we’re committed to providing care alongside education to employment through an activity-based programme combining academic, vocational studies, activities and life skills. We strive to ensure that the young people who pass through our doors are prepared and ready for the working world – and beyond.
The Pioneer education cycle includes mentoring and supporting our students throughout their student journey, constantly re-evaluating and addressing what guidance needs to be implemented in order for our students to achieve their full potential and updating each student’s pathway plan.
Curriculum
The Pioneer curriculum is designed to educate young people in subjects which will enable a young person to develop the necessary personal and occupational / vocational skills to hold down a real job.
The Education and Life Support Programme has 5 stages and is designed to be dynamic, fluid, supporting and enabling. This strategy helps our students achieve their goals leading to positive outcomes and better opportunities when they embark on independent living.
