TRAX MX’s training track is situated beyond Pioneer TEC’s residential lodges and Training to Employment Education Centre within the Phoenix Park CIC, which is a safe, secure environment.

TRAX MX is accessible to our students through their activities under supervision on specific days/times. Every student will participate in risk awareness training before being issued with their Pioneer TEC Student Activity Licence which records their training and achievements. The Licence gives them access to supervised activities on the motocross track as their skill level develops and their confidence builds.

Students at Stage 3 of the Pioneer TEC programme will have the opportunity to undertake work experience in a vocational area of their choice (supervised by TRAX MX staff onsite). Opportunities include marshalling, catering, administration, mechanical engineering, event management and ground works.

Students who embark on Stages 4 and 5 of Pioneer TEC’s curriculum will have the opportunity to take up part-time employment at either TRAX MX or within Phoenix Park as well as enrol on a Phoenix Park Trainee/Apprentice course focusing on renewable energy, recycling and leisure sectors. These students will benefit from the support of the dedicated staff team who will ensure their education, training and support leads them into a safe transition from looked after care into independence and the promise of a job.
